Pier Information: This pier has been around since the early 60's and has been a favorite of many anglers for years.

In 2007 the pier was renovated and cleaned up from the run down pier it use to be.

I like fishing on this pier because you can definitely tell it has been around for many many years and I just can't help to think of how many fish have came over those rails every time I go out on this pier.

From talking to people at tackle shops and online this pier does not have that good of a reputation.

People I have talked to have complained about how the regulars at the Redington Long Pier are not very friendly and do not like anyone in the VIP section of the pier but I have fished there many times and everyone there has been nothing but nice the 10 or so times I've fished there.

Don't let the VIP section of the pier make you think there are only fish out at the end of the pier because you can catch fish all up and down this pier all year round.

Tarpon during the summer months are common hook ups for many anglers fishing from this pier with live and dead bait so be prepared and don't leave your rods unattended.

Medium to heavy pier fishing tackle is needed on this pier, you never know what you might catch.

Use live or dead frozen bait for the most action, this is most popular with most pier anglers.
